Fluency Timer, from Needleworks Education, is a one-minute digital timer that automatically records students' fluency readings. Using Fluency Timer will revolutionize fluency assessment, provide an instant independent work time activity, and help reading fluency to skyrocket.

Why Use It?

Research has shown that having students listen to themselves reading increases students' reading fluency as they hear their own mistakes and work to correct them. By recording fluency assessments, teachers can review results, share results with parents, and allow students to hear themselves.

Fluency Timer is fully compatible with DIBELS, Open Court, Treasures Reading, Houghton Mifflin, Core K12, and any other program with fluency assessment components. In addition, Fluency Timer can be used with one minute story retelling.
